The 11 taoisigh paintings were bought for 250k in a bidding war no less in 2007 by Louis Fitzgerald for his hotel see here for article from Irish Daily Mirror re sale. They are on display in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel in Clondalkin. I hear that Louis has commissioned a Cowen subsequently to join them

According to the same Irish Daily Mirror piece, quoth Louis Fitzgerald on the Kunttel subjects:

“they were all great men”

Ah. Good times.

The World Today of BBC World Service this morning ran the Celtic Tiger Museum item in the ‘water skiing squirrel’ slot just at the end of this morning’s programme just before 6am London time.

Presenter Roger Hearing added their own submission! We haven’t had a song submitted for the Celtic Tiger Museum just yet, so they’ve made a suggestion from ‘Browny and the Wotsits’. [Who?]

Frankly we’re not sure if @PaddyCullivan’s songs from the cataclysm might not be a better cut at this theme.:
